Justice Restored
Zhan Zhao enters the capital city alone to have an audience with the emperor. During the chaos, Linglong unexpectedly rescues a mute boy who had been traveling with Shengyun Manor's Third Chief. Later, she encounters a mysterious man in black named Zhan Rifei. Using the alias Huo Xiaodi, she hides her true identity, but both of them sense that the other is not who they claim to be.

Huo Linglong discovers Zhan Rifei has been hit by the Shangqing Sect's Great Compassionate Palm. Since the Shangqing Sect only punishes evil people, Huo Linglong misunderstands Zhan Rifei and leaves in anger.

Huo Linglong clears up the misunderstanding with Zhan Zhao, and the two set off for the capital together. However, they are intercepted by Grandma Han Shui. Unable to defeat her, Chang Hong Bi agrees to return to Hanshui Palace with Grandma Han Shui in exchange for sparing their lives.

Zhan Zhao risks his own safety to save the hostages. Mo Dao mocks him for not being able to kill him due to the law restriction. But he is killed by Yan Ziqing's dart. Zhan Zhao collapses from exhaustion and is taken to the farm.
