A man is found dead while he is meant to be serving community service. After some time apart, Janie and John must come together and get creative in order to crack the case.

Following the death of a chef in an arson attack on his restaurant, John and Janie come to a small fishing village to scrutinise the locals.

When a runner overdoses in an actor’s trailer, Janie and John are called to investigate. On the set of an epic Welsh TV drama, the team interview the crew to solve the crime.

John and Janie arrive at a new age commune to investigate the murder of its founder. Janie hopes to solve the case quickly, as one member is an unwelcome familiar face.

Whilst running a rehabilitation course for a group of rule-breaking police officers, Janie locks down CID when an attendee is found dead and brings John in to solve the case.

A sudden death at the funeral of a rugby club groundsman leads John and Janie to suspect everyone in the club. With Janie’s big move looming, John considers life without her.
