It served as an introduction to the three-part Book One finale, which began with the episode “The Waterbending Master”.

The Legend Continues is a ten-minute-long recap episode of “Avatar: The Last Airbender” narrated by Mae Whitman, the voice of Katara. In this recap, Katara retells some of the events that have occurred in Aang's journey in “Book Two: Earth”. It served as an introduction to the “Book Three: Fire” premiere, “The Awakening”, which aired after it.
